How to Add PulseChain to MetaMask — Network Settings 2026

📅 March 5, 2026⏱ 5 min read🔑 add PulseChain to MetaMask

PulseChain is not in MetaMask by default. To access PulseX, buy pTGC, or do anything on PulseChain, you need to add it manually — but it only takes about two minutes. This guide gives you the exact settings to copy-paste and walks you through every click.

Why PulseChain Isn't in MetaMask by Default

MetaMask ships pre-configured for Ethereum and a handful of popular networks. PulseChain — despite being one of the fastest growing EVM-compatible chains — isn't included by default yet. The good news: MetaMask supports any EVM network by simply entering the network details. You're not installing anything new — just telling MetaMask where PulseChain lives.

Once added, you'll be able to switch between Ethereum and PulseChain instantly, hold PLS in MetaMask, and interact with every dApp on PulseChain — including PulseX DEX and the pTGC passive income protocol.

The Exact PulseChain Network Settings

Copy these exactly. One wrong character in the Chain ID or RPC URL and the network won't connect.

Network NamePulseChain
New RPC URLhttps://rpc.pulsechain.com
Chain ID369
Currency SymbolPLS
Block Explorer URLhttps://scan.pulsechain.com

Keep this page open while you complete the steps below — you'll need to copy these values one at a time.

Step-by-Step: Adding PulseChain to MetaMask

Step 1 — Open the Network Dropdown

Click the network selector dropdown in the top-left of your MetaMask extension window. By default it shows "Ethereum Mainnet". A dropdown list of your saved networks will appear.

Step 2 — Add Network

At the bottom of the network list, click "Add Network". MetaMask will open a new tab or popup showing some popular networks it suggests. Ignore those — scroll to the bottom and click "Add a network manually".

Step 3 — Enter the PulseChain Details

You'll see a form with fields for network name, RPC URL, Chain ID, currency symbol, and block explorer. Fill them in exactly as follows:

Double-check every field before proceeding. The Chain ID (369) is particularly important — MetaMask won't connect if this is wrong.

Step 4 — Save and Connect

Click "Save". MetaMask will attempt to connect to the RPC URL and verify the chain ID. If everything is correct, you'll see a success message and MetaMask will automatically switch to PulseChain. Your balance will show as 0 PLS until you fund your wallet.

How to Switch Between Ethereum and PulseChain

Switching networks is as simple as clicking the network dropdown in the top-left of MetaMask and selecting the network you want. Your wallet address remains the same on both Ethereum and PulseChain — the same address holds both ETH and PLS, just on different chains.

A common mistake: sending ETH to your MetaMask while it's set to PulseChain. Nothing bad happens — the ETH just arrives on Ethereum, not PulseChain. Always double-check which network MetaMask is set to before sending or receiving funds.

Troubleshooting — Common Issues

RPC Not Connecting

If MetaMask shows an error when saving, try these steps:

Wrong Chain ID Error

MetaMask may warn "The chain ID you entered is different from what we detected." This can happen if you entered the Chain ID as text (e.g. "369") and MetaMask converts it. Simply confirm the correct value is 369 and proceed — this warning is safe to dismiss in this case.

Tokens Not Showing

After switching to PulseChain, you may not see token balances even if you have them. You'll need to manually add each token by its contract address. For PLS itself (the native gas token), it shows automatically. For pTGC and other PRC20 tokens, use MetaMask's "Import tokens" feature and paste the contract address.

Your Next Step — Get PLS

With PulseChain now in MetaMask, your wallet is ready. But you need PLS to pay for transactions (gas) and to buy tokens on PulseX. The fastest way to get PLS with no registration or KYC:

Use ChangeNOW to swap any major crypto — BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB — directly to PLS. Paste your MetaMask wallet address (make sure MetaMask is set to PulseChain when you copy it), complete the swap, and PLS lands in your wallet in minutes.
